Description

Delightful Air Fryer Churro Bites coated in cinnamon sugar, crispy on the outside and soft inside, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a pan, combine the water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat and gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough comes together. Switch off the flame.
  3. Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and allow it to cool for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the cooled dough. Mix with an electric hand mixer until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  6. Pipe bite-sized churros into the air fryer basket with space between each.
  7. Brush the churro bites with melted butter.
  8. Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. In a bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Coat the churros in this mixture once cooked.
  10. If coating doesn’t stick, brush with more melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  11. Serve warm with chocolate syrup, honey, or Nutella for dipping.

Notes

For best results, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking. Try different dipping sauces for variety.
