Description

A delightful and fluffy bread filled with tender apples and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until everything is well combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
  6. Pour half of the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
  7. In another small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  8. Sprinkle half of this cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter in the pan.
  9. Gently add the remaining batter on top and then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture as well.
  10. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the toppings into the batter slightly, creating a marbled effect.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  12. Once done, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  13. While the bread is cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
  14. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread once it’s ready to slice and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh apples for the best flavor and ensure you measure your ingredients accurately for consistent results. Allow the bread to cool completely before glazing.
