Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, mushrooms, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and place them in a baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix beef broth with cornstarch (if using) and pour over the patties.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until browned.
