Ingredients

- ¼ cup chili powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground thyme
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 boneless chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
- 3 green peppers (cut into thick pieces)
- 3 red peppers (cut into thick pieces)
- 1 large onion (cut into thick pieces)
- 10–12 skewers (soaked for at least 30 minutes)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if wooden.
- Mix together the BBQ seasonings: chili powder, paprika, thyme, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar.
- Season the chicken with the BBQ seasoning mixture. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Skewer alternating pieces of chicken, green peppers, red peppers, and onions until halfway filled.
- Preheat your grill to 400ºF.
- Add the skewers to the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, brushing with olive oil and turning occasionally until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Consider marinating chicken overnight for more intense flavor. Use your favorite vegetables for customization.
