Description

Delicious and flavorful BBQ Chicken Skewers, perfect for summer grilling and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground thyme
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 boneless chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
  • 3 green peppers (cut into thick pieces)
  • 3 red peppers (cut into thick pieces)
  • 1 large onion (cut into thick pieces)
  • 1012 skewers (soaked for at least 30 minutes)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if wooden.
  2. Mix together the BBQ seasonings: chili powder, paprika, thyme, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar.
  3. Season the chicken with the BBQ seasoning mixture. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  4. Skewer alternating pieces of chicken, green peppers, red peppers, and onions until halfway filled.
  5. Preheat your grill to 400ºF.
  6. Add the skewers to the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, brushing with olive oil and turning occasionally until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Consider marinating chicken overnight for more intense flavor. Use your favorite vegetables for customization.
