Description

BBQ Chicken Sliders are a delightful treat packed with flavor, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce, divided
  • 1/2 cup cooked red onion, thinly sliced
  • 7 ounces thinly sliced smoked gouda
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken and shred it to your desired texture.
  2. Sauté the red onion until soft and translucent.
  3. Stir together the shredded chicken and 1 cup of barbecue sauce.
  4. Top a sheet pan with the bottom half of the slider buns.
  5. Spread the BBQ chicken evenly over each slider bun.
  6. Drizzle 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over each bun.
  7. Layer the sautéed red onion slices on top.
  8. Add the sliced smoked gouda cheese on top of the onions.
  9. Cover with the top half of the slider buns and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  10. Whisk together the butter, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  11. Brush the butter mixture on each slider and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!

You can prep the chicken a day in advance for quicker assembly.
