Description

A tender and juicy meatloaf that combines the perfect ingredients for a flavorful family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, thyme, and oregano.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the meat mixture and mix until everything is well combined.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  6. Spread extra ketchup on top of the meatloaf for added flavor.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best flavor and juiciness, use ground beef with a fat content of around 80/20. Let it rest after baking to hold in the juices.
