Description
A hearty dish combining the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak in a warm, bubbly bread bake that the whole family will enjoy.

- 1 lb ground beef (or shaved steak for authentic flavor)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
- Add the diced onion and bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until they are softened.
- Season the mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine and remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the biscuit pieces, the cooked beef and vegetable mixture, half of the mozzarella, half of the cheddar, and heavy cream. Toss gently to coat.
- Transfer the combined mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until the biscuits are cooked through, the cheese has melted, and the top is golden and bubbly.
- Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. You can experiment with different vegetables like mushrooms or spinach.
