Description

Delightful taquitos that combine rich flavors of crab and shrimp with melted cheese, all wrapped in crispy corn tortillas.

Ingredients

  • Corn tortillas
  • Creamy crab and shrimp queso
  • Cheese (e.g., cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)
  • Chopped cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Place a spoonful of creamy crab and shrimp queso in the center of each corn tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle cheese on top of the filling.
  4. Roll the tortillas tightly and secure them with toothpicks if necessary.
  5. Fry the taquitos in the hot oil until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with sour cream, salsa, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.

Notes

To avoid the tortillas breaking, heat them in the microwave or a skillet before filling. For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the filling. Experiment with different cheeses for a personalized touch.
