Description
Delicious and satisfying cheesy meatball subs with savory meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese in toasted hoagie rolls.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- Olive oil for toasting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into meatballs.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat marinara sauce and add the cooked meatballs.
- Cut hoagie rolls open and lightly brush with olive oil. Toast in the oven until golden.
- Fill each roll with meatballs and sauce, then top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return subs to the oven and bake until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy meatball subs!
Notes
Store leftover subs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze unassembled meatballs and rolls separately for up to 2 months.
