Description

A delicious twist on traditional meatloaf, featuring gooey melted cheese and comforting flavors, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • Additional cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated cheese, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a greased casserole dish and shape it into a loaf.
  4. Spread marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Top with additional cheese if desired.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Great served with mashed potatoes, green beans, or salad. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and frozen for up to 2 months.
