- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 package pizza dough
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
- Marinara sauce for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into circles (about 6 inches in diameter).
- Place some of the chicken mixture on one half of each dough circle.
- Fold the other half over and seal the edges by crimping with a fork.
- Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side.
Notes
Make sure not to overfill the calzones; otherwise, they may burst while baking. You can customize with different cheeses or vegetables for added flavor.
