Description

A delicious and satisfying dish that combines tender chicken and melted cheese wrapped in warm pizza dough.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into circles (about 6 inches in diameter).
  4. Place some of the chicken mixture on one half of each dough circle.
  5. Fold the other half over and seal the edges by crimping with a fork.
  6. Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with olive oil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side.

Notes

Make sure not to overfill the calzones; otherwise, they may burst while baking. You can customize with different cheeses or vegetables for added flavor.
