- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Add the melted butter, eggs, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Incorporate the dried fruit and chopped nuts into the dough.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased bread pan.
- Allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing.
