- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- First, bake the cheesecake layer at 325°F for 40–45 minutes. After baking, chill it in the refrigerator.
- Next, prepare the red velvet cake layers by baking them at 350°F for 25–30 minutes. Allow them to cool completely.
- For the cream cheese frosting, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Now, start assembling the cake. Layer the red velvet cake, followed by the cheesecake layer, and then frost the top with the cream cheese frosting.
- Cover the entire cake with frosting and chill it for 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for the best results. Don’t rush cooling the cake layers for easier assembly.
