Description

Delightful holiday truffles made with rich dark chocolate and warm flavors of rum, perfect for sharing or gifting.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chocolate sprinkles or crushed nuts for coating

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it just begins to boil. Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in the rum, vanilla extract, and salt until combined.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for about 120 minutes until firm.
  4. Once firm, use a melon baller or your hands to scoop out small portions and roll them into balls.
  5. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder, chocolate sprinkles, or crushed nuts.
  6. Store in an airtight container and enjoy or gift them!
