Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the pastry sheet.
- Cut the pastry into strips, roughly one inch wide, and twist each strip gently.
- Place the twisted strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the twists with the beaten egg for a shiny finish and, if desired, melted butter for extra richness.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
