Description

A comforting and hearty classic meatloaf recipe that’s easy to make and perfect for feeding a family on a budget.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, milk, ketchup, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
  5. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes and green vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
