Description

A delicious twist on traditional green beans, blending sweet and savory flavors with crispy bacon and brown sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans Canned French-style green beans, drained
  • 6 slices Bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Drain the green beans thoroughly.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy and let it cool on a paper towel.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until well-blended.
  5. Add drained green beans and crumbled bacon to the mixture, gently mixing to coat.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to crisp the top and caramelize.

Notes

For a lighter sweetness, adjust brown sugar to taste. Use low-sodium soy sauce for lower sodium content.
