Description

A delightful dish combining tender steak, cheese tortellini, and a rich creamy sauce, perfect for a weeknight meal or special dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring well. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Slowly add parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined.
  7. Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and mix well.
  8. Slice the steak thinly and serve it on top of the tortellini.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper if desired.
