- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1–2 jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine cranberries, jalapeños, sugar, water, and salt over medium heat.
- Stir the mixture until it reaches a boil and the cranberries begin to burst, about 10 minutes.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the jam simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in the lime juice and remove the saucepan from heat.
- Allow the jam to cool to room temperature.
- Transfer the jam to a jar and refrigerate it. It will be ready to enjoy once chilled.
Notes
Adjust the heat by varying the number of jalapeños and their seeds. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor and consider experimenting with additional sweetness or spices.
