Description

A delicious and creamy side dish that’s perfect for family dinners and gatherings, creamed corn brings summer flavors to your table all year round.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh corn (or frozen corn)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the corn and stir to coat with the butter.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and the sauce is thickened.
  6. If desired, sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh corn when in season. Adjust the seasoning to your taste, and add cheese for a richer version.
