Description

A delightful and creamy cheese ball that serves as a festive appetizer for your holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Form the cheese mixture into a ball and place it on a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap the ball tightly and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes, or until firm.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine the chopped pecans or walnuts. Unwrap the chilled cheese ball and roll it in the nut mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Place the coated cheese ball on a serving platter and serve with crackers, sliced bread, and fresh vegetables.

Notes

Serve chilled with a variety of crackers, sliced bread, and fresh vegetables for dipping. Best enjoyed fresh but can be saved in an airtight container for up to a week.
