- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add broccoli florets and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the orzo and chicken broth, bringing to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Garnish with additional grated Parmesan or fresh herbs. Pairs well with a side salad or crusty bread.
