- 6 bone-in skinless chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano or thyme)
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or dill (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season them with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken thighs for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Return the seared chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning sauce over each piece.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake uncovered for approximately 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
Notes
Searing locks in juices, and fresh herbs elevate flavor. Adjust seasonings to taste.
