Crispy and flavorful paneer nuggets, perfect for snacks or appetizers.
Ingredients
- Paneer – 200 gms
- Turmeric powder – ¾ tbsp
- Red chili powder – ½ tbsp
- Salt – 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste – ½ tbsp
- Oil – for deep frying
- Lemon – ½ piece
- Corn flakes – 2 bowls
- Mixed herbs – ¾ tbsp
- Chili flakes – ½ tbsp
- All-purpose flour – 2 tbsp
- Corn flour – 2 tbsp
- Black pepper powder – a pinch
- Water – as needed for binding
Instructions
- Cut the paneer into 1-inch pieces and set aside.
- In a plate, combine turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, and oil with lemon extract.
- Add paneer cubes to the mixture and coat thoroughly. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Separate corn flakes into powdered and crushed sections, then mix together.
- In a mixing bowl, combine salt, mixed herbs, red chili flakes, all-purpose flour, corn flour, turmeric powder, and black pepper.
- Add water to create a thick binding paste; coat marinated paneer cubes and then coat with corn flakes.
- Heat oil and deep fry paneer cubes until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on tissue paper. Serve hot with ketchup.
Notes
For variations, you can try other coatings like breadcrumbs or add different spices for unique flavors.
