Description

A delicious dish that brings an Asian twist to your dinner table, with savory sauce, tender meat, and rich flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together teriyaki sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it using two forks.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water; stir it into the sauce in the crockpot and let it thicken for 10 minutes.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the pot and stir to coat it in the sauce.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Choose boneless, skinless chicken thighs for best results. Can substitute with chicken breasts, but they may be less juicy.
