Description
Jalapeno Popper Twists are a flavorful snack with creamy cheese and a spicy jalapeno kick, wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

- 1 sheet Puff Pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or Monterey Jack)
- 1/2 cup Sliced Jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 large Egg (for egg wash)
- as needed Dipping Sauces (ranch, sriracha mayo, or honey mustard)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut it into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end of each pastry strip.
- Fold the pastry over the filling and twist the strip to seal it. Place it seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over each twist for a golden color.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
For a different flavor, you can add bacon bits or switch to pepper jack cheese. These can also be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
