- 2 medium pork chops
- Salt + pepper
- 60g melted butter
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 15ml extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C / 428°F.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the minced garlic, chopped thyme, and lemon juice if desired.
- In a hot skillet with olive oil, sear the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side until browned.
- Pour the butter mixture into the skillet and baste the pork chops.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 10–14 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving, and spoon more butter over the top.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the pork chops to keep them juicy and tender. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. You can experiment with different herbs for unique flavor variations.
