Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium pork chops
  • Salt + pepper
  • 60g melted butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 15ml extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C / 428°F.
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  3. Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the minced garlic, chopped thyme, and lemon juice if desired.
  4. In a hot skillet with olive oil, sear the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Pour the butter mixture into the skillet and baste the pork chops.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 10–14 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving, and spoon more butter over the top.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the pork chops to keep them juicy and tender. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. You can experiment with different herbs for unique flavor variations.
