Description

Enjoy a delightful meal with minimal effort using this Easy Crockpot Chicken Marsala made with chicken, Marsala wine, and creamy flavors.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Combine soy sauce, chicken broth, and Marsala wine in a bowl.
  4. Place seasoned chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over it, adding sliced mushrooms on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, sauté garlic before adding it to the slow cooker. You may add fresh herbs or other vegetables as desired.
