Description

A warm, one-dish comfort classic that combines shredded chicken and mixed vegetables under a golden biscuit topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup biscuit dough (or refrigerated biscuit dough)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the ingredients.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Tear the biscuit dough into small pieces and distribute them evenly on top of the chicken mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Use warm, freshly shredded chicken for best results. Adjust seasoning accordingly, especially if using canned products. Tearing biscuit pieces small helps them bake thoroughly.
