Description
A delightful recipe combining the sweetness of ripe bananas with the satisfying crunch of walnuts, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly. Add the eggs, sugar, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Gently fold in the chopped walnuts. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for sweetness, don’t overmix the batter, and consider toasting walnuts for extra flavor.
