- 1/4 cup of butter (melted)
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts
- Mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the drained canned yams, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and milk, and mash until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts on top for added crunch.
- If desired, you can add mini marshmallows on top for an extra sweet touch.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the top is golden brown.
