Description
A quick and homey dessert that features bright cherries with a buttery, oat-filled crumble.

- 2 cups cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Mix the cherries with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Spread the cherry mixture over the crust in the baking dish.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the top of the cherries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
For best results, chill the baked bars for cleaner slicing. Use parchment in the pan for easy removal.
