Description

Delicious and nutritious lettuce wraps filled with flavorful ginger sesame beef, perfect for a healthy meal option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet; sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5–6 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use lean ground beef for a healthier option. Fresh ingredients enhance the flavor. Prep ahead for convenience and customize your wraps with additional vegetables.
