- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet; sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5–6 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and chili flakes. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the sliced green onions.
- Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
