Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and molasses until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll in powdered sugar.
- Place the rolled dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the tops have a beautiful crinkle.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheet before enjoying.
