Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 (6 to 8 oz.) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for serving

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the garlic, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, rosemary, and thyme in a medium bowl. Season with kosher salt and black pepper.
  2. Reserve 1/4 cup of the marinade for basting during grilling.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes or overnight.
  4. Prepare your grill for medium-high heat and preheat for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated chicken on the grill and baste with the reserved marinade. Grill for about 6 minutes on one side.
  6. Turn the chicken and grill the other side, basting until cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  7. Transfer the chicken to a platter and garnish with parsley.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate overnight and always use a meat thermometer to ensure proper cooking.
