- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups egg noodles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream. Mix well until heated through, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
Notes
Garnish with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of paprika for added flavor. Pairs well with steamed vegetables or a simple salad.
