- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
- Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, beef broth, and all-purpose flour. Stir well to combine and let simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream, mixing until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and serve with the beef stroganoff on top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet, adding broth if needed.
