Description

Savory meat mixture served on small slices of rye bread, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package cocktail rye bread
  • Dijon mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, ground pork, and onion until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the cheddar cheese until melted.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. On a baking sheet, place the cocktail rye bread slices and spoon the meat mixture onto each slice.
  6. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until the bread is toasted and the topping is heated through.
  7. Serve warm with Dijon mustard.

Notes
