Description

Rich and fudgy heart shaped brownies perfect for any occasion, especially to show someone you care.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the bowl. Stir until everything is just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.
  7. Once cooled, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart-shaped brownies.
  8. Serve and enjoy your delightful treats!

Notes

Don’t overmix, cool completely, and consider experimenting with toppings!
