Instructions
- Prepare the angel food cake according to the box instructions. Once baked, allow it to cool completely before proceeding.
- Combine the crushed pineapple (with juice), mini marshmallows, and shredded coconut in a mixing bowl. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.
- Whip the heavy cream in another bowl until soft peaks begin to form. Gradually add the powdered sugar, continuing to whip until firm peaks are achieved.
- Fold the pineapple mixture into the whipped cream gently, being careful not to deflate the cream.
- Cut the cooled angel food cake into cubes. Layer these cubes in a trifle dish or individual serving cups with the whipped cream mixture.
- Finish with a generous topping of chopped pecans and additional coconut if desired.
