- 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 10 oz can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley or green onions (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it is browned and crumbled. Drain the excess grease.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the cooked sausage, Rotel tomatoes, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
Notes
For a smoother texture, ensure the cream cheese is softened completely before mixing. This dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
