Description

A delightful crowd-pleaser dip that combines rich flavors and creamy textures, perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 10 oz can Rotel (diced tomatoes with green chilies), drained
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until it is browned and crumbled. Drain the excess grease.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cooked sausage, Rotel tomatoes, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

For a smoother texture, ensure the cream cheese is softened completely before mixing. This dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
