Ingredients

  • 1 box of brownie mix (plus ingredients specified on the box: usually eggs, oil, and water)
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to brownie mix instructions.
  2. Prepare brownie batter as directed, and pour into a greased 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake brownies for half the time suggested on the box.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Pour cheesecake mixture over the partially baked brownies, spreading evenly.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the cheesecake in a decorative manner.
  8. Return to the oven and bake until the cheesecake is set (25–30 minutes).
  9. Cool in the pan for a bit, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  10. If desired, top each slice with whipped cream and an additional drizzle of caramel.
