Description

Juicy Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs are deliciously tender and richly flavored with garlic, butter, and herbs, making them perfect for any dinner occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in and skin-on)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Place chicken thighs skin-side down in the skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Flip the thighs and sear for another 2 minutes on the other side. Remove the thighs from the skillet.
  6. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring until the butter melts and the garlic is fragrant.
  7. Return chicken thighs skin-side up to the skillet and sprinkle with thyme leaves and lemon juice.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider garnishing with additional fresh thyme or lemon slices before serving. For a richer experience, double the garlic and butter in the sauce.
