- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as you cook. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6–8 minutes.
- Push the beef to one side of the skillet, then add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in the broccoli florets and sauté for a minute.
- Season everything with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to coat evenly.
- Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until broccoli is tender yet crisp.
- Reduce the heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top and cover until melted, 2–3 minutes.
- If using Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes, drizzle and sprinkle them before serving.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. You can substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken if desired.
