Description

Crispy and cheesy chicken tenders with a zesty lemon flavor, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  4. Dip each chicken tender in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Place the coated tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway.

Notes

Use fresh lemon juice for better flavor. Ensure even coating for crispiness and line the baking sheet with parchment for easy cleanup.
