Description

A hearty, low-carb casserole that combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with the convenience of a casserole, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pound cooked bacon, chopped
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (12 oz) package shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, minced garlic, and onion powder over medium-high heat until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain the grease and transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  3. Stir in the chopped cooked bacon and spread it evenly in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, salt, pepper, and 3/4 of the shredded cheese. Pour this mixture over the meat and bacon in the casserole dish.
  5. Top with the remaining cheese and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is golden and bubbly.
  6. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to add veggies like diced bell peppers or mushrooms for extra nutrition. Serve with a side salad or sugar-free condiments.
