Description

A creamy and energizing superfood treat that combines the health benefits of chia seeds and matcha green tea powder.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk of choice (almond, oat, coconut, or dairy)
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 12 tsp matcha green tea powder (adjust to taste)
  • 23 tbsp maple syrup, honey, or agave (optional, to sweeten)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for flavor)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and a medium bowl or a mason jar with a lid.
  2. Sift the matcha into a small bowl to remove any clumps.
  3. Add warm water to the matcha and whisk until completely smooth.
  4. Combine milk, chia seeds, sweetener, vanilla, and salt in your bowl or jar.
  5. Pour in the whisked matcha and stir vigorously for 30 to 60 seconds.
  6. Let the mixture sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then stir again.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, or overnight.
  8. Stir once more before serving to smooth the texture.
  9. Taste and adjust sweetness or matcha as needed.
  10. Serve chilled with toppings like fresh fruit or granola.

Notes

Use good quality matcha for the best flavor and color. Refrigerating overnight is ideal for the texture.
