Description

A simple and delicious copycat version of McDonald’s McChicken, made with fresh ingredients and easy steps.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip it in the beaten egg, and coat it with breadcrumbs.
  4. Place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and garlic powder in a bowl to prepare the sauce.
  6. Toast the buns in the oven or on a skillet until warm and crispy.
  7. Spread mayonnaise mixture on the bottom half of each bun, add baked chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes, and cap with the top bun.

Notes

For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs. Adjust seasoning as desired for sauce.
