- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan, mix together the brown sugar, 1/2 cup ketchup, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce for the glaze. Heat the mixture until it is smooth.
- Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
- After 40 minutes, add the remaining glaze on top and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Once cooked, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize your glaze with hot sauce or spices for an extra kick. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
