Description

A delightful dish combining salmon with a rich miso butter mixture, perfect for dinner with an umami burst.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 6 tbsp Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 tbsp White miso paste
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 12 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Green onions (sliced thin)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-size bowl, combine softened butter, miso paste, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and green onions. Mash together with a spatula.
  2. Equally divide the miso butter on top of each salmon fillet, spreading it over the entire piece.
  3. For oven: Preheat oven to 375°F. In a baking dish, add salmon fillets. Bake for 12-15 minutes until opaque, then broil on high for 1-2 minutes until caramelized.
  4. For air fryer: Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Line basket with parchment paper or foil, place salmon fillets inside, and cook for 9-10 minutes without turning.
  5. Place cooked salmon on a platter, drizzle remaining butter on top, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with steamed rice and vegetables.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently to avoid drying out the salmon.
